According to multiple reports, new rapper Wiz Khalifa is on pace to sell anywhere between 190 and 215 thousand copies of his debut "Rolling Papers" album.
The week’s real surprise is Atlantic hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers, which is on target for sales between 190-215k, coming off the smash single, “Black and Yellow,” now closing in on three million downloads, and the latest hit, “Roll Up,” closing in on 330k. He performed last night before 3,000 fans at a sold-out Roseland Ballroom in New York. As part of iTunes’ “Countdown to Rolling Papers” promotion, the rapper released the Benny Blanco-produced “No Sleep,” which shot to the top of the overall singles chart a day after it was released on the digital retail site.
