With this year marking the 20th anniversary of the forming of one of the most prolific and dynamic rap groups in the history of Hip Hop, there has been a great deal of speculation and anticipation surrounding the possibility of a Wu-Tang Clan reunion and album. Well, one of the group’s most public and outspoken members has recently confirmed that the group does have an anniversary project in the works.
During his performance at a birthday celebration, Method Man took the time to announce that the Wu-Tang Clan will release a 20th Anniversary LP and that they are currently working on the project now.
“This year will be [the Wu-Tang Clan's] twentieth anniversary,” said Meth to a raucous crowd. “How many brothas kept a job for twenty years? The same job. That’s the shit. We owe that shit to each and every fan that ever supported our music, and that’s real talk.”
Meth made it clear that this 20th year anniversary would be accompanied by an album to celebrate the monumental benchmark. He made sure to iterate that the project would be forthcoming this year.
“This year. This fucking year,”
