The Staten Island Gang Squad executed a warrant at the home of Wu-Tang Clan affiliate, Shyheim, and in the process they found a gun, drugs and drug paraphernalia. The raid took place on last week and ultimately resulted in the arrest of the Wu-Tang affiliated rapper.
According to a report from SILive.com, the Gang Squad used a court issued search warrant to search the rapper’s home. As a result of that search they found a .32 caliber revolver, an undisclosed amount of heroin, a Xanax pill, and other paraphernalia that was hidden in different places throughout the rapper’s apartment.
The results of that search has led to numerous charges being filed against the rapper, including criminal possession of a firearm, and third degree possession of a controlled substance.
This is not the first time that the rapper has found himself in a situation like this. More than ten years ago he spent 18 months in prison for an attempted robbery conviction.
Shyheim gain notoriety in the Hip Hop game as a youth when he released “AKA The Rugged Child” when he was just a teen. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond while he awaits his first court date on next week.
