Posted By on March 4, 2014

BET‘s “106 & Park” ended the first season of  Ultimate Freestyle Friday in September. It was announced today (March 4) that BET is partnering up with Smack and Ultimate Rap League again for season 2. The show is set to premiere on March 28th at 6:00 P.M. and will follow the same format as season one.

‘Ultimate Freestyle Friday’ will maintain its celebrity judge format with Season 2 slated to include Mobb Deep, Kid Capri, The L.O.X., Papoose, Saigon, Smif-N-Wessun, and more as judges. UFF co-host Smack talked to BET about the upcoming season in a recent interview. “I’m really excited about doing a second season of Ultimate Freestyle Friday with ‘106 & PARK’,” he said. “Making the transition from DVDs to online and now to network television speaks volumes on the evolution on rap culture. I’ve been documenting hip-hop culture for years and the SMACK / Ultimate Rap League brand is the leading force responsible for bringing MC Battle culture to masses.”
