Rapper Kid CuDi may be in the midst of a bitter and heated dispute with his record label that has spilled over onto the Twitter Airwaves and into mainstream media, but that has not stopped the young rapper from securing a role in the new DreamWorks Film “A Need for Speed”. The film is based on the popular Electronic Arts video game.

What a difference a week makes. It was just last week that Kid CuDi took to the Twitter Air waves with a long and heatedrant concerning a lack of spins from radio stations. Kid CuDi was upset because he felt that his label was not promoting him enough and he was not getting the radio spins he thought he should be getting based on his hits on Vevo compared to the hits of other rappers.

Well the the rapper tweeted this earlier today, “Really excited about NEED FOR SPEED. Mad love to Leslee Feldman, Scott Waugh & everyone at DreamWorks for believing in me. This is insane!”

HollywoodReporter.com reports that Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” will be featured in the movie which will be plotted around a street race across the US. Paul plays a street racers who joins this race as means of getting revenge for being framed for the death of his friend. Cudi’s role will be as one of the members of Paul’s crew.

The movie is slated for release on February 7, 2014.
