Lil Kim Refutes False Reports of Concert Performance

Posted By on January 29, 2013

It seems as if there is no shortage of sleazy event and concert promoters. There were reports that Lil Kim was under fire for missing a January 25th scheduled appearance at Providence Night Club in New York City. Well, after further investigation, it seems that there was a good reason for Kim missing the date; she was never personally scheduled to be there. It seems that a concert promoter, Nate D., used Lil Kim’s name to help promote an event of his, but he never had a commitment from Kim to actually perform at the event.

Based on Lil Kim’s account this is just another in a large pool of promoters that will do and say anything to get what they want, including using the names of artist to improve their billings and increase revenue.

Lil Kim launched several quotes on Twitter expressing her side of the story and her sentiments.

“Due to sched. conflicts I will not be attending Providence Night Club tonight, Jan 25th. I will be in the studio finishing up my new album!!”

8:36 PM – 25 Jan 13

”Just to clarify I was never scheduled to be at Providence Night Club. The promoter, Nate D. falsely advertised me being there.”

9:15 PM – 25 Jan 13

I was always scheduled to be in the studio tonight at 8pm.

9:24 PM – 25 Jan 13

As of yet, there is no indication of whether or not the owners of night club will actually take any action against Lil Kim or not.
