Papoose’s “The Nacirema Dream” Finally Schedule for Release

One of the underground’s elite, Papoose, announces that is much awaited studio album debut is finally scheduled for release. According to a recent press release, Papoose announced that “The Nacirema Dream will be released on March 26th. The LP will be released via B4 Money Records.

In addition to announcing the release, the Bed-Stuy native also released a letter addressing his fans concerning the albums multitudinous delays, basically stating the the politics in the industry got the best of him.

In the letter rapper talks about the passion and work that has gone into this album, stating that he has worked on the album his entire life.

“I’ve been working on this album my entire life, those of you who followed me over the years know, and I have the material to prove it…I kept record and jotted down the struggle, pain, blood, sweat, tears and joy of myself, and all the other that I experienced…”

The release of this highly anticipated project was first announce in 2006 when Papoose signed with Jive Records for the sum of $1.5 million. The first single from the LP “On Top of My Game” debuted toward the end of last year.
