Pharrell Williams Teams Up WIth Adidas

There has been multiple hip-hop artist that have linked up with mega sneaker companies and now reports claim The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams has followed Kanye West’s foot steps by joining Adidas.

According to reports, Pharrell will have his own signature collection that could be here by summer time.

 “PHARRELL WILLIAMS has teamed up with Adidas Originals to design a collection that will debut this summer. The range will be created with the singer’s eco-friendly Bionic Yarn, which is made using plastic debris from the sea through international collective The Vortex Project. “Working with an iconic brand like Adidas is such an incredible opportunity,” said Williams. “From the classic tracksuit, to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths, Adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless. This is an exciting partnership for both me and for Bionic Yarn.”” (Vogue)

This won’t be Pharrell’s first time linking up with well known appareal brands.

“And to be fair, he’s had more than enough practice, Pharrell once headed up the creative direction for Reebok’s now defunct Ice Cream trainer line, and has also worked with brands A Bathing Ape, Timberland, and Palladium.” (Glamour Magazine)

Kanye West had a monumental falling-out with Nike over their marketing of his sneakers, and is about to get his revenge by signing a $10 million deal with rival Adidas. Kanye designed a range of sneakers for Nike, but sources tell us relations soured because he “only got 10 to 20 cents on the dollar for sales of his sneakers from Nike, and he only had a small personal stash to give out to his friends.” (Page Six)
