According to reports from TMZ, DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, has been sentenced to community service for getting caught with a taser late last year while leaving a New York Restaurant.

It was in October of last year that DJ Paul was stopped by New York City Police Officers as he left a restaurant with an open beer bottle (a misdemeanor in New York and almost every other state in the Union). After being stopped and questioned about the beer, Paul admitted that he had a taser in his possession which is also a misdemeanor. He was subsequently arrested and booked for misdemeanor possession of a weapon as well as carrying an open container.

The rapper initially plead not guilty to the charges against him, but subsequently struck a deal with the district attorney’s office. Based on the agreement, Paul plead guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 21 hours of community service.
