Tyler the Creator Does Collaboration with Miley Cyrus on Her New Album

Posted By on January 30, 2013

According to an interview that former Disney Star, Miley Cyrus, did with Cosmopolitan Magazine for their cover story, she co-wrote a song with legendary HipHop & R&B Queen Mary J. Blige for her new album. Tyler, The Creator, the Odd Future leader, heard the song and said that he would be willing to jump on the song for a guest verse if Cyrus promised to leave the song on the album.

“I wrote this song with Mary J. Blige, and Tyler the Creator heard it and said, ‘I am obsessed with this song, and I will guest on it if you promise me that you will keep it on the album.’ And he killed it!” said Cyrus. “I really didn’t want to make a Hip Hop record, and I’m not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]….That’s not my vibe. When I was growing up, my older brother would sneak me Nelly CDs, my dad had me listening to Dolly [Parton] and Johnny [Cash], and my mom is a complete metal head. So this record is a weird mixture of all that.”

Tyler, The Creator had initially planned to release “Wolf”, his third LP in November, but the November date is not certain at this moment. He was also collaborating with Earl Sweatshirt on his album EarlWolf, however; there is yet to be a release determine for this project as well.
