After a recent report that Staten Island native and Wu-Tang Clan Affiliate, Shyheim was arrested after his apartment was raided by the NYPD Gang Task Force, the recently released rapper is saying that he got a raw deal from the New York Police Department.

During a phone interview with HipHopDX, Shyheim admitted that he is facing some serious time if convicted based on the findings that have been reported.

Shyheim was arrested after the NYPD Gang Task Force used a court ordered search warrant to enter into his Staten Island apartment. During the search, officers found a .32 Caliber revolver, a significant amount of heroin, a Xanax pill, along with other drug paraphernalia. The search and its findings has resulting in several serious charges being filed against the Wu-Tang Affiliate. The charges include second degree weapons possession, and possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.

While speaking on the case shortly after his release on Friday, Shyheim refrained from discussing any of the details of the case, but proclaimed his innocence.

“I really can’t talk about the case, but you know, shit, [it’s] not looking too good right now. But, I [maintain] my innocence, I’m innocent. And that’s that. I don’t really know what else to say: I’m out, I’m okay, I’m healthy [and] I wanna thank everybody for their support. I just got out a couple of hours ago so my mind is all over the place you know what I’m sayin’, but it is some very serious charges, I’m looking at some serious time of course.”
