Raekwon Wishes Jay-Z Good Luck

Posted By on September 9, 2009

Yesterday both Jay-Z's new "Blueprint 3" album and Reakwon's "Built For Cuban Linkx Part 2" hit stores and Raekwon had his record release party thrown by none other than Diddy himself. Hundreds of people waited in line in downtown Manhattan to get into the Santo's Party House to attend the event. While entering, Raekwon talked about the overwhelmingly positive feedback. "We did a lotta work [and] we paid a lot of dues," Rae said. "So, at the end of the day, it’s a good feeling." [Reakwon's Release Party & Live Performance – Watch Here]

Raekwon then took the stage where he performed such Wu-Tang hits as "C.R.E.A.M." and "Verbal Intercourse," before he got into his own songs like "House of Flying Daggers," "Catalina," and other cuts from his new album. Before he was finished, Raekwon made sure he wished Jay-Z luck. "Shout out to my man Jay-Z. Good luck on your album, sir," he said, then telling the fans to "go support both albums, cause we real New York niggas that paved the way."
